*****The expressive arts I teach is not therapy as I am not a therapist.

"You don't have to be a therapist to be therapeutic".

I provide a therapeutic environment that involves a multi sensory rich approach to support development and the creative process.  I use neuroaffirming and whole child centered practices that meets a child where they are at and invites engagement that provides the relational safety that humans need to co regulate their nervous system.  I utilize multiple modalities that invite self expression, opens the creative process, and honors what feels supportive to the individual.

  • Expressive arts is about the process; not a product.
  • It's about building a connection through the creative process.
  • It's about supporting an individual and their individual needs.

  • It's about enlivening our senses that promote development, regulation, calm and organization of one's self.

Parent Coaching

Need to discuss your child and want to better understand the challenges you're both experiencing?  Together we can identify the root of these challenges and find ways to support your child. I will work with you to help identify what's underneath the challenging behaviors and together we will develop a plan and solutions to bring back balance into your family's life.

I also work one on one with kids, modeling supportive engagement for parents who are observing.  I use kids natural ways of exisiting and learning which is through play, movement, sensory rich activities, expressive arts to help support their nervous system.  I also use focus attention practices to help bring awareness,  guidance and educate them on their unique brain and body to learn what internal signals they experience and what they need to feel in   balance.

Through these methods and working WITH approaches to supporting kids it helps them make sense of their experiences, and this is when we naturally see our kids begin to be more balanced, have increased capacity,

 and thrive.

This is the healing process through connections and compassion.

Trauma-Informed
Consulting

I work with individuals/families/professionals interested in learning about trauma and the many ways trauma can show up in someone's life. Through education and a new understanding through a "trauma Informed" lens, we can work together to develop your toolbox with the best ways to support individuals in your circle who have experienced trauma or any life adversity. Together we can create a path of healing, as it is in relationships that healing begins.   "Trauma can change the brain, but so does relationships!"- Dr. Bruce Perry

**See the Safe and Sound Protocol Page for information on my SSP services

All Behavior is communication.  It's always adaptive to the individual in that moment of time.  Identifying the root causes is what allows for healing, and growth for our kids and families to thrive.
